How to use it

  1. Click Upload First File and Upload Second File, and pick the two Word documents (DOCX or DOC).
  2. Click Compare to see both versions side by side with the differences highlighted.
  3. Use Share to send a link to the comparison, or download it as an HTML report.

Questions

Does DiffNow show formatting changes?

No. DiffNow compares the text of the documents, so changes to fonts, colors, or layout alone are not shown. Changed words, sentences, and paragraphs are.

Do I need Microsoft Word?

No. Everything runs in your browser and on the DiffNow server; you don't need Word or any other software.

Can I compare Word documents on my own computer?

Yes, with ExamDiff Pro, the desktop tool that powers DiffNow, with no file size limits. It also compares Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF files, and whole folders of documents.
